What We Believe About Prayer
The Cedars Ministry exists to cultivate disciplined, Scripture-rooted prayer in individuals and communities. We believe prayer is the most strategic thing a believer can do, and we take it seriously.
Intercession
We believe prayer is not passive. It is active spiritual engagement. We stand in the gap for individuals, communities, and nations.
Spiritual Covering
Prayer creates a canopy of protection over families, churches, and territories. We pray with authority rooted in Scripture.
Deliverance
We believe in the power of prayer to break chains, release captives, and bring freedom in Jesus' name, as Isaiah 61 declares.
Restoration & Alignment
Prayer is the means through which hearts are realigned with God's will. We pray for renewal, healing, and divine restoration.
Intentional Structure
Our Prayer Rhythm
As a ministry, we follow seven prayer focuses that form a complete cycle of intercession. This rhythm reflects intentional spiritual structure, cultivating a full, balanced, and consecrated prayer life rooted in Scripture.
Mercy
Approaching God's throne with hearts open to receive and extend His mercy, for ourselves, for others, and for the nations.
Thanksgiving
Cultivating a lifestyle of gratitude, acknowledging God's faithfulness, provision, and sovereignty over all things.
Worship
Exalting God for who He is, not for what He has done, but for His nature, His holiness, and His worthiness alone.
Warfare
Standing in spiritual authority, praying against darkness, and contending through intercession for breakthrough and deliverance.
Fellowship with the Holy Spirit
Communion: intimate time with the Spirit of God. Listening, yielding, and deepening our relationship with the Comforter.
Praise
Declaring God's greatness with boldness. Praise as a weapon, as an offering, and as a posture of the believing heart.
Supplication
Bringing every request, burden, and petition before God with faith, and resting in His perfect will and timing.
Spiritual Discipline
Fasting
The Cedars Ministry observes a weekly day of fasting. Fasting is a core discipline of the ministry, not a ritual, but an act of consecration.
The purpose of fasting is to subdue the flesh, strengthen the spirit, and heighten spiritual sensitivity. We fast to align ourselves with God's will and increase our capacity for prayer.
A full-day fast is recommended where possible. Partial or modified fasting is permitted depending on health considerations. The focus is surrender and consecration, not religious performance.
Additional fasting seasons may occur throughout the year as led by the Holy Spirit.
Weekly Fast
One day each week is observed as a day of fasting across the ministry community.
The Purpose
- Subdue the flesh and strengthen the spirit
- Heighten spiritual sensitivity
- Deepen consecration and alignment with God
- Increase effectiveness in prayer and intercession

Territorial Prayer
Prayer Walks & Prayer Drives
Rooted in the promise of Joshua 1:3: “Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, I have given you”. Prayer walks and drives are acts of faith-filled intercession over specific territories.
Just as the Israelites marched around Jericho in Joshua 6 with faith until the walls fell, we pray intentionally over our streets, neighborhoods, cities, and regions, believing God for breakthrough.
Prayer walks encourage believers to pray over homes, schools, churches, local leadership, and peace in the land. The posture is humility, faith, and intercession.
Over time, this may develop into coordinated prayer walk days across multiple cities, raising a generation who takes the ground for God through prayer.

Monthly Gathering
The Cedars Prayer Assembly
The ministry hosts a structured monthly online prayer gathering, the Cedars Prayer Assembly. This is our corporate intercession space, open to all who desire to join in agreement and prayer.
The assembly is Scripture-centered and focused on corporate intercession. It is a space for believers to come together, stand in the gap, and pray in one accord for individuals, communities, and nations.
In addition to the open monthly assembly, The Cedars maintains a Core Intercession Team, a private group dedicated to deeper, more sustained intercession. Participation in the Core Team is by discernment and invitation.

Core Intercession Team
A private intercession team dedicated to sustained, deeper-level prayer for the ministry and its regions. Participation is by discernment and invitation.
Extended Intercession
Prayer Marathons
In addition to the monthly assembly, The Cedars Ministry hosts quarterly prayer marathons, extended gatherings designed for deeper consecration and sustained intercession.
These marathons are typically held from Friday night into Saturday morning, for example 9pm to 9am, creating a 12-hour window of uninterrupted prayer and worship.
As the ministry grows and as led by the Holy Spirit, the duration of these marathons may expand. Specific details for each marathon are shared in advance through the Events page and ministry communications.
Marathon Format

- 12 hours of extended prayer, Friday night to Saturday morning
- Typical hours: 9pm – 9am
